Collection Five

The Fifth Collection in the Mintel Archive contains recordings of concerts by Chicago’s Music of the Baroque under the direction of Music Director and Conductor, Thomas Wikman. Included are three major Handel oratorios – Messiah, Semele and Alcina. This Collection also contains several performances of Stabat Mater by both Gioacchino Rossini and Giovani Pergolesi. The Music of the Baroque orchestra, concertmaster, Elliott Golub, is featured in this Collection playing Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major and leading orchestral works by Hadyn, Bach, Mozart and Telemann.
